Softouch 76/769 Elastomeric System


Overview
Softouch 76/769 Ink systems are 100% waterbase which meet 2005 EC DIRECTIVE 2003/53/EC OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of dangerous substances usage such as nonylphenol and nonylphenol ethoxylate.

This system inclusive of White and a Clear that are a ready for use and can be screen or roller printed. This highly elastomeric product is an excellent for use for printing depth dark shade on light color fabrics as well as on dark ground fabric with an excellent hand feels. It also promotes excellent elastomeric properties on highly stretchable fabric.



The ABS backbone resin of Softouch 76/769 system also display and excellent chemical resistance properties with excellent wet and dry crocking fastness result [4-5].
 
Type Of Fabrics
Cotton, Blends Cotton Polyester, Blend Rayon Polyester, Rayon, Denim, Polyester, Stretchable Nylon & Stretchable Polyester.

Application Method
White
Softouch White HO can be used direct from the can for maximum opacity on dark ground fabric.

Color
To achieve maximum opacity on dark fabric, 6 parts of Softouch White are to be added to 3 parts of Softouch Clear. One part of concentrated pigment is added to achieve the desire color. Proportionate ratio of Softouch White and Clear are to be are added till desire opacity as well as color for the users need. Maximum Pigments Concentrated allows are approximately 15 % by weight.
 
Type Of Stencil & Mesh
Used only water resistant, direct in direct emulsion. Capillary film are recommended for fine details printing (Call your emulsion supplier for water resist emulsion)

32T mono-filament for high glossiness, Metallic, Glitter, and Shimmer.
49T mono-filament for soft hand with medium glossiness.
54T mono-filament for detail print or for fine line and tone on fabric.
 
Squeegees And Printing Table
For excellent glossiness and opacity, squeegee with 55/65 sore hardness are recommended. Soft tables are most suitable. We suggest silicon rubber table blanket, are to be place on top of the printing pellet to improve the printing table hardness. For special effect 65/75 sore hardness squeegee perform the best. Squeegee hardness of 75/85 was recommended for fine detail printing.
 
Drying And Polymerization
For maximum fastness, prints are to be cure at 150 degree Celsius or 320 degree Fahrenheit. Airflow recommended is 2000 cfm for proper polymerization at 3 minutes. Improper curing will cause poor fastness properties.
 
Tools And Additive
Cold Cure Catalyze (C3) is recommended at 0.25% to 3% to improve dry film cross linking properties. In situation where print are subjected to intensive socking or heavy industrial wash, Adhesion Enhancer (AE) are recommended at 0.5% to 1.5%. Over dosage will cause ink storage stability drop. Add AE at the time of use if necessary.

To improve printability of ink, Retarded W7W (W7W) is recommended to be added at 1 to 3% to the Softouch ink system. W7W will prevent screen blocking with excellent result. This product is strongly recommended for Automatic presses as well as for rotary cylinder printing. Catalyze AS100 (AS 100) are recommended to enhance washing properties for combination of heavy mechanical plus biochemical washing requirement.
 
Others Important Tips
Always flood screen when completed every printing stroke, this is to prevent ink from drying on screen. ** Avoid printing detail immediately after flash curing. Flash curing temperature required is 220 degree Celsius for not more than 10 second at 2500 cfm with air flow.

Due to the high chemical resistance and the low tackiness this ink are also suggested to be used in conjunction in foil stamping and flat screen plus flocking application. The chemical resistance properties also made this ink the choices on denim especially on enzyme wash effect.
